Options
Subtle or fuller, your choice
A half syringe gives a subtle refresh and hydration. A full syringe allows more volume and shape. Your injector will recommend an amount based on your lips, your goals and how natural you want the result to look.
Results are visible right away, with the final look once any swelling settles. Hyaluronic acid filler can be adjusted or dissolved with hyaluronidase if needed.
Lip filler or lip flip?
Filler adds volume. A lip flip uses a neuromodulator to let the upper lip roll gently outward, changing shape without adding volume.
Your appointment
- A consultation to review your goals, your health history and any past filler.
- Your injector maps the treatment, then places small amounts of filler with a fine needle.
- Swelling, tenderness and some bruising are common for the first few days.
Aftercare
- Don’t apply anything to the lips until the next day: no cleanser, lip product or makeup.
- Avoid massaging, touching or pressing on the lips.
- Avoid heavy exercise on the day of treatment.
- Avoid dental work for 30 days after filler.
- Sleep on your back with your head elevated for the first night, and for 2 to 3 nights if you have swelling.
- Wait at least four weeks before skin care or laser treatments on the area, or as your provider directs.
